The first time we filled one of these vessels with water, everyone in the workshop gathered around to watch.

The transformation was immediate.

Artwork seemed to expand and float. Light bent through the glass. Reflections merged with imagery until it became impossible to tell where one ended and the other began.

That moment became the inspiration for Optical Alchemy.

This collection brings together some of the most extraordinary examples of glass as a transformative medium—vessels, bowls, pitchers, and sculptural forms that reveal new dimensions through light, water, reflection, and transparency.
