Lesley Roy — A Body of Work
A life shaped through creation.
Meeting the Collectors
Throughout the years, each new collection launch became an opportunity to meet collectors, personalize their pieces, and celebrate together.
Meeting the Collectors
Throughout the years, each new collection launch became an opportunity to meet collectors, personalize their pieces, and celebrate together.
Signature commissions and one-of-a-kind collections created for retailers, vineyards, restaurants, boutique hotels, yachts, and private collectors around the world.
Each commission began with a distinct story, place, or vision, then unfolded into a body of work created specifically for that environment.
“Moments like being welcomed into the home of the Al Thani family in Doha, Qatar and hearing, ‘Is this you?’ as they turned over a Vineyard Charger plate and pointed to my signature are the memories that stay with me far more than any store name.”
Across countless projects, collectors, clients, and retail partners became part of the story.
Back home, another project was always underway.
"Every trip ended the same way—a long flight home, a little jet lag...and another big project ready to get started."
There were walls being framed.
Equipment being installed.
Showrooms taking shape.
Studios expanding.
Teams growing.
And somewhere nearby...
mountains of plates waiting for my signature.
Built with Love & Grit
Beautiful spaces rarely happen by accident.
They begin as empty rooms, exposed walls, impossible deadlines, and a shared belief that something extraordinary can be created where nothing yet exists.
Over the years I renovated studios, warehouses, showrooms, galleries—even a disastrous Mini-Mart convenience store—not because I loved construction (although I secretly did)...
...but because every collection deserved a home that inspired the people making it.
What began as a beloved neighborhood hardware store, serving the community for more than a century, became the foundation for something entirely new.
Years of demolition, construction, restoration, and determination transformed the building into the home of Lesley Roy Designs.
Building More Than a Building
As the walls went up, so did the business.
Workshops became studios. Empty rooms became production spaces. Warehouses filled with glass, packing stations, and shipping carts. Showrooms welcomed visitors, while behind the scenes a growing team handcrafted collections destined for retailers, designers, and collectors across the country.
Every completed room made the next chapter possible.
Every completed building and room made the next chapter possible.
From Dust to Gold
There were glamorous moments...
...and then there were days spent wearing three pairs of socks, burnishing gold leaf floors by foot because it was simply the best way to do it.
Every finished room became another working space. Kitchens became showrooms. Empty halls became galleries. Workshops filled with artists, designers, and stacks of finished collections ready to ship.
Slowly, one room at a time, the building became exactly what had been imagined.
Still Building
Forty years later, I'm still happiest with a new project, an empty room, and the possibility of what comes next.
What has stayed with me is the absolute joy—the thrill of creating, building, and imagining something beautiful. That has never changed.
