The eye recognizes the silhouette.
Breathtaking from across the room.
Mesmerizing from just inches away, where richly detailed artwork and intricate hand-leafing reveal themselves through the signature Old Masters crackle.
That moment of recognition is no accident.
Before people saw the artwork, they recognized the shape.
These forms became a visual language unto themselves—recognized immediately by collectors, retailers, designers, and Lesley's clientele alike.
Months of refinement transformed sketches and prototypes into forms that felt as beautiful in the hand as they appeared to the eye.
Many of Lesley's Signature Forms have become iconic, including:
• 21" Handled Oval Platter
• 20" × 12" Oval Platter
• 19" Crescent Platter
• 20" Square & Rectangular Serving Platters
• 16" Glass Display & Presentation Pieces
• 11" Hexagonal Dinner Plate
• 12" Entrée Bowl
• 20" Rectangular Placemats
Every piece begins as quarter-inch-thick glass, precision cut to size before being slumped into its distinctive form. Gentle curves, carefully sloping sides, and flat centers ensure each piece rests securely while protecting the surface beneath.
Each Signature Form is then fired twice for strength, double annealed for exceptional durability, and every edge is ground and polished entirely by hand until perfectly smooth to the touch.
Only then does its transformation truly begin. The artwork, proprietary finishes, and multiple firing stages that follow require another 10–12 days to complete a serving piece, while larger architectural and furniture works may require a month or more.
That is the evolution of a Signature Form—and the guiding philosophy behind every piece created by Lesley Roy.
