A luminous example of Lesley Roy’s signature oval form, this substantial glass platter features yellow orchids, verdant foliage and hummingbirds against the collection’s distinctive Old Masters crackle. The artwork is framed by a Tri-Gold™ Yellow and silver hand-colored border, created using historically inspired techniques and crystalline pigments that give the surface remarkable depth, luminosity and shifting flashes of color.

At 20" long, the generous oval form makes a striking serving platter or centerpiece, while the soft yellow ground beautifully illuminates the intricate botanical artwork.

Archive Note: Two examples remain, each showing slight hairline variations within the decorative artwork glaze applied to the reverse of the glass. The glass itself is intact and unaffected, and the subtle variations blend naturally into the richly textured Old Masters crackle. They do not affect the beauty, stability, or usability of the platter. Simply too beautiful not to be offered, these pieces are available at a special archive price of $225 each.
